CIA Red Cell Memo Leaked

g100823assange--128254414184403100

Wikileaks has done it once again; they’ve leaked another document classified as “SECRET/NOFORN” to the public. The document is a memorandum written by the CIA’s Red Cell, which is ostensibly a think tank within the agency. Within the memo entitled What if Foreigners See the United States as an “Exporter of Terrorism”, are multiple instances of domestic born United States citizens who have carried out attacks on foreign nations. These include the 2009 incident of five US men being arrested in Pakistan after seeking training from al-Qaida, the murder of 29 Palestinians by Baruch Goldstein, an American born Jew who joined Kach(extremist Jewish terrorist organization), as well as funding given to the IRA by Irish-Americans.

The theme repeated in the document is foreign perception of these incidents and how it could affect future relations between nations. Foreign nations may request and expect information regarding American citizens if the US is seen as an exporter of terrorism. Countries that may deem US citizens to be threats may want to extradite them according to the document. This is an interesting excerpt from the “Impact” section of the document:

Foreign intelligence operations on US soil to neutralize or even assassinate individuals in the US deemed to be a threat are not without precedent. Before the US entered World War II, British intelligence carried out information operations against prominent US citizens deemed to be isolationists or sympathetic to the Nazis.

While it may not be a revelation that foreign governments have spied on citizens in the United States, it is striking that foreign intelligence agencies have carried out assassinations against Americans on US soil. Considering that Britain’s government has, in the past, carried out operations against ‘isolationists’, people who opposed US intervention into the affairs of foreign nations and people who were opposed to wars, it would not be surprising if foreign agencies were still spying on antiwar groups in the US.

Do Not Stand for the Pledge of Subservience

Pledge_salue

As high school starts for millions of students around the country, the morning ritual of standing and pledging to a three colored piece of cloth perpetuates. The idea that one person could force another person to stand for their views is insane. Many seem to think that students have no rights in school, but the Constitution and court rulings seem to disagree. To be coerced into participating in a borderline cult ceremony and to be indoctrinated by thuggish teachers, who overstep their bounds, is repugnant in a free country. The Pledge of Allegiance just seems to be another way schools destroy and suppress any token of individuality in a student.

People, who blindly stand because of the groupthink mentality instilled within them at an early age, seldom know of the history behind the pledge. They don’t know that it was conceived by Francis Bellamy, a man who referred to himself as a Christian socialist and sold flags to public schools in the 1880s and 1890s. Bellamy injected his Christian socialist crap into the pledge and also had something to gain financially as well. The picture to the right of this article of the students exhibits American children in school performing what was known as the Bellamy salute. You might be thinking, “Wasn’t that used by the Nazis to hail Hitler?” Yeah it was. Before World War II, the Hitler salute accompanied the Pledge of Allegiance. After it was learned that this salute was being used by Hitler, people began placing their hands on their chests during the pledge.

Standing for 10 seconds doesn’t bother many people, but if that’s your mentality, ask yourself if you’d have a problem with extending your arm for Hitler in the 1930s since it only takes 3 seconds. It’s a matter of principle not of practicality. If you’re an atheist, agnostic, or not religious, standing for someone’s imaginary friend might annoy you quite a bit, but even if you believe in a creator, the idea that you should stand for a flag representing a government that has strayed so far from the Constitution should be repulsive to you. Doesn’t the Bible say something about it being a sin to pledge allegiance to false idols?

To call someone unpatriotic for refusing to stand for the pledge of allegiance is a joke. Do you think that the Founders of the United States would have agreed to standing and pledging to an authoritarian government? Do you think that the same people who overthrew the most powerful empire in the world would bow down to an insecure “teacher” on a power trip? Considering that the United States was founded on dissent, the most patriotic thing a person can do is dissent and refuse to follow unjust orders. By refusing to stand for the pledge, you are standing up for your rights.

By the way, the “under God” in the pledge was thrown in back in the 1950s, during the Red Scare, in order to somehow be a defense against the lack of religion in communist countries. It made absolutely no sense back then and it makes no sense now. Pledging your allegiance to a government does have its place though. That place is North Korea. Fascist and totalitarian governments want their citizens to be indoctrinated with the idea that they are owned by those governments. Here’s something to think about—the definition of the word ‘allegiance’ from the Merriam-Webster dictionary:

1 a : the obligation of a feudal vassal to his liege lord”

Paul Krugman Doesn’t Understand Basic Economics

krugman

“I have always been a free-market Keynesian” -Paul Krugman

If that statement alone doesn’t boggle the mind of any competent person with even a modicum of knowledge of economics, maybe some of Krugman’s other published drivel will. Before refuting Krugman’s distortions of reality, let me mention that he is a distinguished professor of economics at Princeton University–<sarcasm>an institution which has produced the great economic minds of Ben Bernanke and Paul Volcker</sarcasm> All jokes aside, based on the “leaders” it has produced, Princeton University’s economics department has about as much dexterity as a community college’s autism task force.

Inflation

In an article published last year, Paul Krugman argued that the Federal Reserve’s policy of printing trillions of dollars should not arouse fears of inflation. Instead, Krugman argued that deflation was a problem the economy might face. The most basic definition of inflation is the devaluation of currency. Paul Krugman doesn’t seem to understand that when a fiat currency, a currency backed by nothing, is repeatedly printed, it becomes debased. When the Federal Reserve prints money, the purchasing power of each and every dollar decreases. Take the Weimar Republic for example. In the 1920s, after World War I, Germany became known as the Weimar Republic and its central bank was the Reichsbank. The Reichsbank’s currency, which was the “Mark”, was not backed by anything. When it came time to pay for the war debts which were incurred, the Reichsbank simply printed Marks until the Mark was burned by Germans for heat because it became worth less than firewood. The currency of the Weimar Republic was devalued through printing and that is what Paul Krugman is essentially denying.

This is what Krugman’s hero John Maynard Keynes had to say about the Weimar Republic’s hyperinflation:

The inflationism of the currency systems of Europe has proceeded to extraordinary lengths. The various belligerent Governments, unable, or too timid or too short-sighted to secure from loans or taxes the resources they required, have printed notes for the balance.

Keynes explained that extraordinary inflation was caused through the monetizing of the “balance” or the debt by printing “notes” or paper currency. At this point, one has to wonder whether Krugman is just retarded or skipped high school history.

Debt & GDP

Every month or so, Paul Krugman likes to write an article justifying the national debt and the increasing budget deficit. Krugman’s defense of an exponential increase in the debt consists of comparing it to the GDP as if the United States government collects the equivalent of the GDP in taxes. The Gross Domestic Product of a country does not signify a country’s ability to control or even pay off the national debt. If you were in hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt, would you try to rationalize it by stating that the debt you owe is just a percentage of the total amount of money your friends and family make and spend? That’s the excuse Paul Krugman is making for his Keynesian buddies at the White House who are driving up the national debt and increasing your cost of living.

Deflation

Something Paul Krugman doesn’t seem to understand is that when a currency is artificially inflated by a central bank through the lowering of interest rates, a market correction is needed. When inflation is problem, deflation is the solution to stabilizing the currency, but Krugman disagrees. Considering that price of gold is a good indicator of inflation, it’s very apparent that inflation has skyrocketed. Krugman still fears deflation, however, because accepting the fact that the US Dollar is being inflated would be contrary to his failed, Keynesian view of economics.

With a federal funds rate of nearly 0%, printing and borrowing money has never been easier in the history of the United States, so inflation is rampant. Any increase in the federal funds rate would obviously cause deflation, but a deflationary period would allow for the US dollar to gain purchasing power. Horrible economists like Paul Krugman will encourage you to spend all of your money instead of saving it. They know that deflation rewards people who have saved money. If deflation occurred, every dollar you have would increase in value, but as the inflationary policy of the Federal Reserve stands today, your savings are being devalued and destroyed.

If you want to learn more about how Krugman advocates that the United States follow the policies of Greece, I suggest reading Peter Schiff’s arguments against Krugman’s calamitous economic views.

These voids and gaps in Paul Krugman’s knowledge lead you question the methodology of the committee that awards the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics, which in 2008 was given to Paul Krugman. Krugman is as deserving of the award as Barack Obama, a president who has killed hundreds through Predator drone strikes and escalated the war in Afghanistan, is of the Nobel Peace Prize. Awarding a person, who can’t understand the basic concepts of inflation, debt, and delfation, an economics prize or degree is an insult and just as Obama is a terrible pacifist, Krugman is a terrible economist.

Justin Amash Wins MI-3 GOP Primary!

HFAmash309

It appears as though Congressman Ron Paul may have a new ally next January in the House of Representatives. Michigan state representative Justin Amash, who just turned 30 years old, decimated his opponents in the Republican primary for the 3rd Congressional District of Michigan. Amash led his opponents with 40.3% of the vote with his next closest opponent having only 26.3%. The 3rd CD is a heavily Republican district, so Amash is expected to easily ride his way to victory in November.

As a state rep., Justin Amash has never voted “Yes” for a bill which he did not read and never missed a single vote. He also did something that no other representative to my knowledge has ever done. For every vote of his in the State House, he posted his reasoning behind the vote on his Facebook page. Americans should desire and demand that sort of transparency in Washington D.C.. In addition to providing his constituents with clarity, Justin’s voting record and speeches exhibit somewhat of a libertarian stance. Amash’s opponents have even called him a libertarian in order to alienate him from Republican primary voters. They seem to forget that libertarians are the ones who want both personal freedom and economic freedom from the government.

What separates Amash from neoconservatives is that he is a supporter of the 2nd Amendment, but also is a non-interventionist, who would not senselessly send soldiers into endless wars of aggression. Amash also would work audit and possibly abolish the Federal Reserve. Justin will hopefully join Rand Paul, Mike Lee, and many other freedom fighters in the Senate and the House in 2011.
